Abstract:

The larval stages of the riffle beetle Hydora annectens Spangler and Brown are described and
illustrated for the first time. They are compared to Hydora larvae from New Zealand. A key to the
larvae of the New World genera is given. The distribution of known species of Larainae is
synopsized and a checklist of genera and species is given.
